The restoration of the Italian premises of Compar Bata at Limena (PD) was carried out by focusing at the same time on both the restructuring of the building, managed by the technical office of the footwear multinational coordinated by architect Nicolè, and the re-organization of the interiors devoted to the different corporate departments.
The prestigious job was assigned to Archiutti after a strict selection.
The project was split into macro-areas to allow the customer not to discontinue its business - the flexibility and organization of Archiutti ensured an optimum workflow as well as the wide selection of the most appropriate solutions to meet a wide range of requirements. The operational areas were conceived as open spaces, to accommodate Bata’s know-how as well as possible; the administrative offices and meeting rooms were closed by using traditional partitions from the WEST programme or the single-glass walls from the WATS collection for reception lounges.
But the diversity among the locales was revisited in a modern and innovative perspective: when identifying the type of furnishing the criterion of spaces homogeneity was favoured. Thanks to the flexible compositions and the easy assembly, HADIS system proved to be extremely functional and of high aesthetic quality, suitable to the complex organizational requirements of both the operational areas and the administrative offices - the same sunken platform structure was used, in painted aluminium, in different widths according to placement; the finishings of working surfaces were changed - wood for administrative offices and melamine for operational areas.
